Brisbane produce sensational late comeback to beat Central Coast Mariners in the A-League Grand Final

Brisbane Roar 2* – Central Coast Mariners 2 AET (Pens. 4-2) (A-League Grand Final, March 13, 2011) After a goalless opening 90 minutes, the Mariners appeared to be heading to a shock victory when Adam Kwasnik and Oliver Bozanic put them 2-0 up in the first-half of extra time. Brisbane, who finished top of the standings and had been unbeaten in 27 previous matches, claimed two goals in the final three minutes through Henrique and then Erik Paartalu. Brisbane keeper Michael Theoklitos was the hero, saving penalties from Danny McBreen and Pedj Bojic in front of over 50,000 spectators.
