Fabio & Rooney on target as Manchester United defeat demoralized Arsenal

Despite a defensive looking line-up and a bright start from Arsenal it was Manchester United who took the lead on 28, Rafael, Rooney and Hernandez were all involved with Fabio da Silva sliding in the opener. Four minutes after the break, just seconds after van der Sar had made a double save from Koscielny, Wayne Rooney headed in from a tight angle after Rafael had skipped past Gibbs. Late on Arsenal played with 10 men after Johan Djourou went off with what looked like a serious injury (initial reports say out for the season).
