Liverpool 2 – Manchester United 3 (FA Youth Cup, March 13, 2011) United were 2-0 down thanks to a brace from Liverpool’s Adam Morgan down but the game took a change of direction in the 55th minute in a bizarre penalty incident when both Stephen Sama and Paul Pogba were given their marching orders. Larnell Cole then stepped up to convert the penalty, before Cole set up Ravel Morrison with a composed finish to level matters just three minutes later. Ravel Morrison sealed a superb United comeback with five minutes to go with an excellent volley from the edge of the box from a Cole corner. There was still time for more bust up as Blackett and Coady were sent off for another clash that left the Liverpool captain with a bloody nose.
