This was confirmed in a statement the Football Association (FA) before the FIFA presidential election in which there are two candidates, namely Sepp Blatter and Mohamed Bin Hammam.
"The FA Board today agreed to abstain in the election of the President of FIFA," the FA said in a statement quoted by Eurosport regarding elections scheduled to take place on 1 June.
