I HATE playing Man Utd, I really do, something always seems to go against Spurs up there and the referee’s are ridiculously biased. Mark Clattenburg want’s to be centre of attention all the time it seems, if he didn’t see the blatant hand ball by Nani when he so easily fell to the ground in the penalty box then he should be listening to the linesman, who did. After all, what are the “referee’s assistants” doing there otherwise?
To rub more salt into Spurs wounds, Mark Clattenburg was the same referee that didn’t give Pedro Mendes’s “goal” for Spurs at United when the ball was fumbled by then keeper Roy Carroll and ended up at least a couple of feet over the line. The most obvious non goal that has probably ever been scored.
As for the game, Spurs didn’t really do enough to win the game, which was quite disappointing. They have some good passages of play and play some good football at times but could not test the keeper as much as they should, especially as Man Utd are conceding a fair few goals recently and I hoped that they would put them under a little more pressure. But, Man Utd do what Man Utd do best, they stuck in there, got the first goal and went on from there. They are probably the best team in the league at grinding out results even when not playing at their best.
Maybe next time Spurs….?
