Stoke's loss to West Ham means they know just how hard this weekend will be, but Pulis would never let that become an issue.
"I think this football team never underestimates anyone," he continued.
"The big thing for us and the opportunity for us is to play West Ham at home, but I think they will also be recognising the chance of being just one win away from Wembley."
West Ham suddenly present a tougher-looking opposition than the side which was bottom of the Premier League not too long ago, and Stoke - having been beaten last week - know only too well what threat the Hammers present.
"They picked up form at this time last year, and they are doing that again and Avram Grant has a great record in the cup, we know it is going to be tough game," Pulis admitted.
"They have England players all over - Robert Green in goal, Matthew Upson at centre-half, Wayne Bridge at left-back, Scotty Parker in midfield along with German international Thomas Hitzlsperger, you look at it and you do wonder why they are even struggling."
Pulis, who has managed once before at Wembley when he took Gillingham to the play-off finals, is making sure his side prepare in normal fashion.
"There will be a normal build-up to the game, we are treating it like a league match, we are just maintaining our focus," he concluded.
"Wembley is on the horizon and we will give it our best shot."
